Drinks that Promise to Cause A Hangover

Drinks that Promise to Cause A HangoverThirsty? When a can of Diet Coke or a bottle of Coors Light just doesn’t cut it, then perhaps you need to snag one of these mega drinks. Found at hot spots all over the world, these jumbo drinks might be able to quench your thirst. (There are even places locally here in the Circle City that can produce drinks of this magnitude.)

Swamp Water at Brother Jimmy’s

You will have to travel to the Big Apple or to Puerto Rico to try one of these, but it will be worth it once you arrive. (I do not encourage you traveling to these locations specifically for these drinks, so do some sightseeing while you are there.) This thing is served in a fish bowl and has 1½ cups of vodka, a cup of Midori, some sour mix, some orange juice, some ice cold Sprite, and a dash of grenadine. By the time they are finished you have 64 ounces of delicious booze.

Don’t forget the plastic alligators that you will find floating around in your drink. This drink can only be found at Brother Jimmy’s and is worth the trip!

Adios Mo-Fo at Howl at the Moon

Forget the drinks, this place is just a blast to spend an evening! Nothing quite tops dueling piano bars where you, the audience, are the entertainment. If you have never been, find one in a city near you and go.

While you are there, you have to order one of their signature drinks. The one that gives me great memories is the Adios Mo-Fo. This is a bucket filled with 84 ounces of booze. They start by pouring vodka, then rum, gin, blue Curacao, and sour mix. If you chug one of these you might wake up with a hangover the next day. As a matter of fact, I can guarantee that you will have a hangover the next day.If nothing else you can hang out with the musicians jamming on the dueling pianos. That is what Howl at the Moon is all about.

Pink Punk Cosmo at T.G.I. Friday’s

I do like pink! This Cosmo is vodka, cranberry juice, pineapple juice, and a fresh squeezed lime. Then it is thrown into a shaker and then poured over a fluff of pink cotton candy.

I used to work at T.G.I. Friday’s and while I never made one of these, I have seen them prepared before. As a matter of fact, each year T.G.I. Friday’s holds a nationwide contest for their best bartender. I have been to many of these and this is always a signature drink to prepare.

So while this is only a short list of drinks that will promise to show you a good time, they are iconic in nature. So the next time you are on vacation, or just downtown Indianapolis, stop by one of these spots and order a signature drink. You won’t be sorry.

Have you ever ordered one of these? I have had the Adios Mo-Fo, but couldn’t finish it!
