Roger Sanchez “Release Yourself” DJ Residency

Roger Sanchez "Release Yourself" DJ ResidencyCertified party icon and international superstar DJ Roger Sanchez is bringing his wildly successful “Release Yourself” series to Marquee Nightclub & Dayclub at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas for a year of exclusive monthly residencies launching on Friday, January 7, 2011. For Release Yourself Las Vegas, Roger’s sexy, party house music will meet Las Vegas glitz and glamour, and Marquee’s spectacular, state-of-the-art stage, custom visuals and sound system.

Release Yourself Las Vegas is a truly magical clubbing experience, inspired by 1930s burlesque films and the iconic showgirls of Las Vegas. Custom visuals designed and brought to life by V Squared Labs in partnership with Corso Communications feature shadow-dancing vignettes and extravagant, but intimate decor turn Marquee into a sexy burlesque boudoir.  This atmosphere integrates perfectly with Roger’s sensual music, highlighting Latin electronic rhythms, pounding basslines and soaring vocals. Marquee’s magnificent three-story catwalk showcases dancers and performers in costumes designed by Geneviève Cleary, who also worked on production for Cirque de Soleil. To top it all off, Roger uses a cutting edge iPad application to trigger custom visuals, sound effects, club blackouts and cryogenics from behind the DJ booth, making it a truly interactive clubbing experience. Expect surprises, including artist and celebrity guest star appearances and more, as no two nights of Release Yourself Las Vegas will be the same. “Marquee is allowing me to bring what I have been doing in Ibiza and around the world with my Release Yourself to another level, with what is arguably the newest and hottest dance music destination – Las Vegas.”

Grammy award-winning DJ Roger Sanchez’s tremendous 2010 included his 10th summer residency in Ibiza as well as remixes of Maroon 5, OneRepublic and Brandon Flowers, which continue his status as go-to DJ for pop/house hits. Previous remixes for Daft Punk, Diana Ross and No Doubt (which won him a Grammy), contributions to Blade soundtrack, early hits like Luv Dancin, Another Chance and Release Yo Self and world tours earned the New York native a global audience. He has just released his Release Yourself 10 compilation, a 10th anniversary of the legendary house music mix series that has grown into an IDMA-winning podcast and global clubbing concept. Now Roger is currently working on his highly-anticipated artist album which will include several high-profile collaborations, including the recently released dance floor smash 2gether featuring Far East Movement.
