Player to receive PGA TOUR Lifetime Achievement Award

Big news for Gary Player… he is set to receive the PGA TOUR Lifetime Achievement Award. Gary is a member of the World Golf Hall of Fame and is one of the greatest international golfers of all time. He is the 10th recipient of this prestigious award.

Created in 1996, the Lifetime Achievement Award honors individuals who have made an outstanding contribution to the TOUR over an extended period of time through their actions on and off the course. Player joins a distinguished list of past Lifetime Achievement Award recipients including:

  • Gene Sarazen
  • Byron Nelson
  • Arnold Palmer
  • Sam Snead
  • Jack Burke Jr.
  • Pete Dye
  • Deane Beman
  • Jack Nicklaus
  • George H.W. Bush

Player is the winner of 9 major championships and 165 tournament titles around the world, including 24 on the PGA TOUR and 19 on the Champions Tour. Player will be honored on May 9 at THE PLAYERS in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida.
