Gramatik Announces New EP #digitalfreedom

Gramatik is currently trekking across America on the PLM tour that he’s co-headlining with PLM labelmates Break Science. This tour is taking him through Philadelphia, Boston, New York, Pittsburgh, Chicago, Nashville, and many more.

“Guaranteed to blow the walls down in your local concert venue.” – Play This Song Loud

In addition to touring, hot off the tails of a sold out PLM showcase during the Winter Music Conference at Mekka in Miami, Gramatik is announcing his new EP #digitalfreedom. As an artist that’s based his entire career on the platform of free file sharing, Gramatik is dedicating his EP to the fight against the severe Internet censorship bills we’ve been hearing about so much in recent months. With this EP, Gramatik hopes to spread awareness about the government acts that seek to regulate the Internet.

“There is freedom in this music that doesn’t follow rigid set lists and frequently produces a gift of new grooves, created on stage while the audience writhes.” – C-Ville

This EP also represents an evolution of Gramatik’s sound, as it strays from his usual chilled out hip-hop driven beats, and enters a more bass heavy realm. Good music does not just stick to one genre, and neither does Gramatik. With this EP, Gramatik wants you to open your ears to the new vibes, and embrace the versatility in his production.

“Gramatik is actually an alien from a different, funky planet where there are seven moons and zero-gravity hookah bars on every corner… his composition is so emotionally spot-on.” – Unified Funk Option

Gramatik is also embarking on a new #digitalfreedom tour, after the culmination of his PLM tour. Stops include Boulder, Salt Lake City, San Francisco, and San Diego, with many others in between.MSTRKRFT, Black Moth Super Rainbow, GriZ, and Kraddy will each be joining him on select dates. Make sure you catch Gramatik when he comes through your neighborhood, as his show is not one to be missed.
