After the overwhelming success of Indy Meets Windy, it’s time for Indy Meets Windy 2. This time there will be one acoustic opener and three bands from Indianapolis (Indy) and two bands from Chicago (Windy). And to make the occasion something that’s really special, each band will perform acoustic. Being that many of these bands are primarily known for electric live shows, Indy Meets Windy thought it would be fun to strip down the music to give you a chance to see/hear the bands perform in a way you don’t usually get to experience. Bands scheduled to appear include:
I hope everyone had a great time tonight at Indy Meets Windy! Thanks to Coed Pageant and Jet W. Lee for coming down here… welcome to Indy!

Introducing Dave Grodzki!

The show is about to begin… I just grabbed Dave’s setlist. He is only playing for 30 minutes, but I am excited to see him on this stage. Birdy’s has live music seven nights a week and features bands from all over the world. From local singer/songwriters to bands like The Fray, there is always something going on here at Birdy’s!
Traffic in Indy is horrible right now… so it looks like we are pushing the start time back to 8:30. You’ve got some extra time get here before the show starts.
Are you on Twitter? If you are following along at home make sure to use the hashtag #IndyMeetsWindy. Also make sure to follow @IndyMeetsWindy.
Make sure you follow @davegrodzki on Twitter. He is always playing around the Circle City.
Dave Grodzki just got here. He will be kicking things off around 8:15.
I have to give a shout out to @BizServIndy. They can’t be here tonight, but will be following the LIVE blog at home. Oh, and they are big fans of The Connect!
The Connect, formerly known as 40% Steve, is made up of Chris Capper (vocals/guitar), Adam Scarzo (lead guitar/vocals), Joe Shestak (bass), and Jake Iseminger (drums).
Welcome to Birdy’s Bar & Grill. Indy, are you ready to rock? Well you are in luck… Tonight we welcome 2 bands from the Windy City for Indy Meets Windy 2! Come on in, grab a drink, and get ready… because the DOORS ARE NOW OPEN! Music starts soon, so let’s get this party started!
Doors will open in ONE hour! Also, make sure to follow the #IndyMeetsWindy hashtag on Twitter.

Friday, April, 27, 2012I am following along at home. This is fun! I couldn’t find anyone to go with me, and I hate going to bars along! I know, but this is fun to see what songs these bands are playing. Oh, and I LOVE Chicago. HAVE FUN GUYS!!!!!!!

Friday, April, 27, 2012Love The Connect. I hope they play Black Better! (They used to do that one when they were 40%. I am not even sure there is a Steve in the band anymore!) Really like the photos too. A live stream would make this thing tops.

Friday, April, 27, 2012Thanks for the comments Bob! The Connect is great. I was familiar with the name, but didn’t realize it was 40% Steve. And I think you’re right… not sure if there is a Steve in the band any more!

Friday, April, 27, 2012The Connect is a great band name. Why does that sound so familiar? Are they on Facebook?
rickyleepotts
Friday, April, 27, 2012Thanks for the comment Peter! The Connect used to be 40% Steve… maybe that is why it sounds familiar? They changed their name not too long ago. The used to do a ton of covers. Tonight it appears to be all originals. And yes, they are on Facebook. I just found their page tonight actually. Make sure to “like” them on there!
