American Craft Beer Week Tap Attack

American Craft Beer Week Tap Attack

This week is American Craft Beer Week. It is time for you to sit down that bottle of Bud Light and grab a craft beer from one of the thousands of craft breweries around the country. There are several of them right here in the Circle City, and while I don’t personally like them all, there are some great breweries around here. One of the best places in Indy to get a good selection of craft beer is the Beer Sellar. They have a great list of beers including 100 bottles and over 50 taps that rotate as fast as they can tap them. It is one of my favorite bars in the city. They are actually a sponsor of 1001 Bottles. We go there all the time, and this Friday night they are tapping a bunch of REALLY good beers. To celebrate American Craft Beer Week, they are having a “tap attack” featuring beers from all over the place. Check out some of the beers that will be tapped this Friday:

  • Three Floyds: Zombie Dust American Pale Ale
  • Three Floyds De Struise: Shark Pants/Live a Rich Life Belgian IPA
  • Three Floyds: Behemoth Blonde Barleywine American Barleywine
  • Three Floyds: Blackheart English India Pale Ale
  • Rogue: Chatoe Rogue First Growth OREgasmic Ale American Pale Ale
  • Great Divide: Chocolate Oak Aged Yeti Imperial Stout
  • Great Divide: 18th Anniversary Wood Aged Double IPA Imperial IPA
  • Founders: Double Trouble Imperial IPA
  • Founders: Breakfast Stout Imperial Stout
  • Founders: Old Curmudgeon Old Ale
  • Brooklyn: Sorachi Ace Saison/ Farmhouse Ale
  • Bell’s: Smoked Vienna Lager
  • Sam Adams: Norse Legend Sahti
  • New Belgium: Biere De Mars Biere de Garde
  • New Holland: Dragons Milk Oak Barrel Ale American Stout
  • Stone: Imperial Russian Stout Russian Imperial Stout
  • Sierra Nevada: Hoptimum Imperial IPA
  • North Coast: Scrimshaw Pilsner German Pilsener
  • Goose Island: Pere Jacques Dubbel
  • Dark Horse: Scotty Kararte Scotch Ale

You can’t beat this list of craft beer. I am not sure which one I am going to try first. They don’t have flights at the Beer Sellar, so I have to order these one at a time. I will make Sheryl order something different so I can try several of these. I have had a few of these like the Three Floyds Zombie Dust (I have a case of that in the kitchen right now), the Three Floyds Behemoth, the Great Divide Chocolate Oak Aged Yeti, the Double Trouble from Founders… several of these. I just bought a bottle of the Sorachi Ace the other night. I am on a farmhouse ale kick right now.

Anyway, this Friday night make sure you swing by the Beer Sellar and grab a pint or two of your favorite craft beers. Oh, and I almost forgot… I have to thank my good friend Tyler McCord for taking the photo I used in this blog post. He was at the Beer Sellar, and I didn’t have an image to use. He was able to deliver. Nice work Tyler. Bottoms up, buddy!
