What Dutch brothers Showtek have achieved in the last year is nothing short of phenomenal. From sold out shows across the globe to tracks selling like wildfire, they have rapidly become one of the dance world’s most esteemed acts. Showing no signs of letting up, they have now been decorated with the Gold Award for record sales on Beatport, with their track “Cannonball” alongside Justin Prime. An unrelenting 6 minutes of rousing bass, euphoric chords and complex synths, “Cannonball” had hit written all over it from the second the world set ears on it. To no surprise a global smash it truly was, shooting straight to the Top 10 in Beatport and holding a solid 5th spot in their home Dutch charts. Now months down the line the dance world showed their continuing love for “Cannonball” as it was heard around the whole of Miami and charted as Dancing Astronaut’s #3 track of Ultra Music Festival 2013. Far from the only mark the guys left behind, their very own Showtek & Friends party sold out in an instant and left partygoers mesmerised.
