Steve Angello & Jacques Lu Cont remix “Soothe My Soul”

Following the release of the recent Depeche Mode album, Delta Machine, revered dance music figureheads Steve Angello and Jacques Lu Cont have been called in to remix “Soothe My Soul”, which will be released exclusively through Beatport on Monday.

Remaining faithful to the rich urgency of Depeche Mode’s original version, the duo ignite the track’s dance floor possibilities. Building on these foundations with propulsive drums, pulsing bass and a carefully sculpted climactic arrangement, the result is a masterclass in emotive club music. There are few artists better equipped to rise to the challenge of remixing electronic pioneers Depeche Mode than Angello and Lu Cont, AKA Stuart Price. With a list of innumerable accolades between them, each brings their sizeable credentials to the table.

The “Soothe My Soul” remix follows on the heels of an intimate concert Depeche Mode recently performed for fans at Troubadour in LA, which marked the band’s smallest show ever in Los Angeles. In addition, the group also recently launched their first world tour in four years in conjunction with the release of their new studio album Delta Machine. The European leg kicks off in Nice, France tonight with North American dates set to commence in Detroit this August.

Depeche Mode has gone on to become one of modern music’s most influential groups with global sales in excess of 100 million. Formed in 1981, Depeche Mode – Martin Gore, Dave Gahan and Andy “Fletch” Fletcher – continue to win critical and commercial acclaim around the world both in the studio and on the road.  The band’s albums have reached the top 10 in over 20 countries, including the US and UK.
