Party Like Us Records kicks off the fall season with the Rain City Riot release Control EP, a 2-track release that, “takes the house and garage music of Berlin’s bustling underground techno scene and puts it all on display,” says VIBE. Control is out now.
With house and garage re-emerging to bring much-needed depth back to the rave, Rain City Riot is at the forefront of shaping the future of this sound, starting with this deep bouncy release. Control blends a heavy, modern low end with sounds reminiscent of The Prodigy, while “On A Real” is a relentless ricochet of fat beach-ball synths. Control has earned early support from the likes of Jack Beats, 12th Planet, Roska, Designer Drugs, Mumdance and more.
“I wanted to write something that was moody and grimy without being too noisy. Something rolling but rude. Control is what came out,” Rain City Riot tells VIBE.
