A few months ago I played the Monument Course at Troon North Golf Club. I walked, and it ended up being 19,460 steps and 8.49 miles. Last weekend I booked a tee time to play the Pinnacle Course in an effort to track those steps, too. We managed to play 6 holes before the sky opened up and we had to leave the golf course. It never rains in Arizona… Unless I am trying to play golf! We moved our tee time to the following week, and this time, the weather was perfect.
On the range, I wasn’t hitting the ball very good, but managed to keep it together and made a lot of pars. On 18 I hit the ball so far right I didn’t think I would be able to find it. I did, and long story short, made a good par to finish. Again, I used my Fitbit to track steps and miles. It ended up being 15,176 steps and 6.76 miles.
As you can see, the Pinnacle Course is much shorter, and it was an easier walk. If you were to walk both courses on the same day, based on my distances, it would take you 34,636 steps and 15.25 miles. I’ve played 36 holes on the same day, but I didn’t walk. Not sure I would be able to walk 15 miles and still be able to swing a golf club!
There you have it. I’m sore today, but it was worth it. I will be at Sewailo Golf Club this weekend. How many steps and how many miles do you think it will be?
