I’ve heard of beer pong… But “Mountain Pong?”

Mountain Pong is the latest and greatest evolution of the college classic pong!

I’ll admit it… I’ve played beer pong before. As a matter of fact, I am pretty good at it. I remember going to bars, playing beer pong, and, well… Taking it pretty serious for a while. All you need is a stack of Solo Cups, preferably red, and a few pitchers of cheap beer. If you are hardcore, then use a higher ABV beer or shots of tequila. But if you are just getting started, I recommend Bud Light or Coors Light. I don’t need to explain the rules… But the game is fun, and is an easy way to bond over some beers.

Now that I think about it, I remember playing beer pong at all hours of the night at O’Sheas in fabulous Las Vegas, Nevada. I digress. The point of this blog post is not beer pong, rather “Mountain Pong.” Check this out… This takes beer pong to a new level.

How neat is that? Mike Rockwell is the man behind Mountain Pong, and there is a Kickstarter fundraising money for the game. This contraption keeps the traditional six cup base, but features an additional set of six elevated cups above it. As you can see, this takes beer pong to a new level, and I am seriously considering backing this project… I mean, how cool would that be on a Friday night? Knowing us we would use a barrel aged stout, a hoppy IPA or something, but you get the idea.

This Kickstarter has a goal of raising $30,000, and at the time of writing this blog post, had raised over $21,000. There are several wants you can get involved, but for me, if I decide to invest, I will back this project for $65. That will get me one set of black or white Mountain Pong, custom balls and stickers. I can pick up the Solo Cups at Walmart of something.

If I back this project, my Mountain Pong will arrive sometime in September. Who wants to come over and play? I bet I could get Mike, Brian, Kevin and Matt to come over and play. Let’s do this!!!
