Infected Mushroom’s fan-favorite anthem “U R So Fucked” receives the remix treatment from fellow Israelis, RIOT. Working in vocoded lyrics, trance-inspired chords, and massive festival trap drops, the Army of Mushrooms single gets an energetic reboot.
Known for spearheading the psy-trance revolution through their signature brand of hypnotic arrangements, Infected Mushroom’s sonic productions have permeated the electronic dance music scene for decades. Ever since their debut in 1999, the Israeli duo have channeled their creative energy into countless periods of stylistic exploration, producing eleven full-length albums and working alongside Jonathan Davis (Korn), Perry Farrell (Jane’s Addiction), and pop music icon Lady Gaga in the process. In 2012, Infected Mushroom made their Dim Mak debut with the release of their eighth studio album Army of Mushrooms, which has accumulated over 29.9 million Spotify streams to date and features “U R So Fucked.”
Twice ranked among the Top 10 in DJ Magazine’s “Top 100 DJs” poll, Infected Mushroom are no strangers to charting on Billboard, most notably for their 2009 record Legend of the Black Shawarma which peaked at No. 9 on Billboard’s Top Electronic Albums chart. Never slowing down, Infected Mushroom dropped their latest LP Return to the Sauce earlier this January. Journeying back to their roots, this record embraces a psychedelic atmosphere and brilliant harmonies, making it perfect for current global dance floors.
Taking “U R So Fucked” to new heights is RIOT, which Your EDM already touted as an “Artist to Watch” in 2018. RIOT first emerged onto the scene through their official remix of Infected Mushroom’s “Kipod,” which topped Beatport’s Dubstep chart. Since then, the young artists have racked up numerous Beatport number ones (including “LSAR (feat. Armanni Reign),” “Madman (feat. Ragga Twins),” and “Jazz Cat Funk”) and have garnered overwhelming support from Steve Aoki, Knife Party, Dillon Francis, Bassnectar, and Don Diablo, among others. In a breakout 2017, the burgeoning duo were tapped for high profile collaborations with Dirtyphonics on “Got Your Love” and Kayzo on “Wake Up,” the latter of which eclipsed 10.5 million on-demand streams. In addition, RIOT was commissioned for an official rework of Pegboard Nerds‘ “BAMF” and later released their original dubstep heater “Disorder” via Monstercat.
