Mahmut Orhan is back on Ultra Records with a revamped version of the 70’s song “Six Day War.” In the track, Mahmut Orhan retains Colonel Bagshot’s vocal energy, however his rework of the piece revives the 1971 track, giving it a millennial appeal. Music fans may recognize this as the sample also used in DJ Shadow’s “Six Days.”

The deep bass thumping through track is guided by sitar-like strums, conveying a more worldly take on the classic English tune. The music video also emanates a worldly perspective, taking viewers on a tour of vast rocky landscapes and fields and beautiful round temples. Following people from different walks of life, the video focuses on a variety of characters, including a shepard, a boy flying a kite in an open field, a man riding a horse through outskirts, and many more.

“I’ve been really excited about this track for a while now and can’t wait to share it with everyone,” says Mahmut, “I’m really happy to be releasing on Ultra again as well, after my previous tracks ‘Save Me’ and ‘Feel’ doing so well on the imprint. I’m excited to see what fans think of the track!”

Turkey-born Mahmut Orhan began experimenting with his sound by remixing tracks from the 80s and 90s before developing his soulful sound and creating tracks like his 2016 hit “Feel.” Released by Ultra Records, “Feel” amassed 300+ million combined streams on YouTube and Spotify, making its way into the top 20 in the iTunes Dance and Global charts in nearly two dozen countries. The single also reached #1 on the iTunes Dance chart in 11 countries and No. 1 on the iTunes Main chart in 5 territories, allowing Mahmut Orhan to prove just how much success he can gain from one track alone. As Mahmut Orhan churns out killer tunes like “Feel” and his latest “6 Days,” he’s invites listeners to experience dance music from his perspective, leaving preconceived notions at the door.
