I must admit, I have not always been a big fan of female singer/songwriters. It always seemed like everyone that I listened to sounded the exact same. The lyrics were the same, the guitars all sounded the same. I was bored, quite frankly. But one day, while working on some press releases and sharing some news right here on rickyleepotts.com, I came across this performer. I went straight to iTunes, took a listen, and was immediately [...]

I am sure you have seen the blockbuster film featuring Leonardo DiCaprio, but nothing comes close to seeing these artifacts up close and personal. Until you have seen this exhibition you have not experienced the Titanic. The last survivor of the shipwreck passed away in 2009 and while there might not be anyone left on earth that remembers that dreadful night, the artifacts continue to live on. I am honored that I was able to take part in this [...]

When we started to plan our trip to Aruba, we had no idea where to stay. We are not really into the whole resort thing, so we wanted to stay away from that part of town. With a little bit of research, we learned that almost all of the major hotels were in an area known as the high-rise part of town. Here you could find tons of hotels and resorts lined up and down the beach. That was not our scene, so we started to look a little deeper at more locally owned hotels [...]

Release Yourself Las Vegas is a truly magical clubbing experience, inspired by 1930s burlesque films and the iconic showgirls of Las Vegas. Custom visuals designed and brought to life by V Squared Labs in partnership with Corso Communications feature shadow-dancing vignettes and extravagant, but intimate decor turn Marquee into a sexy burlesque boudoir. This atmosphere integrates perfectly with Roger’s sensual music, highlighting Latin electronic rhythms, pounding [...]

What I liked about Bar 19 was the outdoor patio. The weather is pretty much perfect year round here in Dallas, and you can sit outside with a great view of the pool and the poolside vistas. While I only had some appetizers here at Bar 19, you should definitely try the sliders. These little suckers are packed with flavor, and rather than putting the tomatoes and the pickle on the burger itself, they stack it high on the top of the bun for presentation purposes. Also grab an order of [...]

Her husband Jim was holding a huge surprise birthday party for her. It was going to take place at The Compound Grill in north Scottsdale. Ironically I knew a lot about this venue already. I had intentions of moving to Scottsdale a few years ago, and when I heard about this place, I immediately introduced myself on Facebook. To this day I talk to them on a regular basis and am always paying attention to what’s going on. So when I landed and found out that was where the [...]

It was nice to have this when we first got to our room, and while we were not checking out for three more days, we were able to prepare for a quick and efficient departure. We had a rental car so there was no reason to store our bags and we were up and out of the hotel quite early so that we could enjoy our last day in the city. But it showed that the hotel either truly cares that their guests are informed or they just want it to appear that way. We did have a [...]

Hotels are a dime a dozen here in Indianapolis. You can stay at the Holiday Inn or at Best Western, even at a nicer hotel like the Hilton or the Conrad. Not too long ago I needed a place to stay but didn’t want to break the bank. After a little bit of research, I ended up at the TownePlace Suites located at Keystone at the Crossing. From the moment I got to the hotel, I knew I made the right decision. Having worked all the details out with Clint Sheets, the hotel’s General [...]
