Going to college was never an option for me… I had was always wanted to go to college, for at least for an Associate’s and a Bachelor’s degree. Now that I have three degrees from two different universities, and I am ready to go back and get one or two more. There is just something about continued education that I can’t get enough of. I have an Associate’s degree from Marian College (now Marian University) and an Associate’s and a Bachelor’s degree [...]

The book starts out with Rick throwing away (literally) the AFC Championship game. From there he finds himself on his way to Italy to play for the Parma Panthers. Each team is allowed three players from the USA. Rick is the only American player on the team, and his reputation follows him all the way overseas. American players are also the only ones who are paid to play. Rick is also provided a place to stay and a car, a Fiat that proves to [...]

Since I write all of these interviews with bands and DJs, I figured why not interview the owner of a place like this? He has a hand in the beer making, and to me… making beer is an art… so I scheduled a meeting with Jeff, the owner and operator of Barley Island. (I actually did a brewery tour before the interview. It was neat to see such a small place producing so much quality brew.) The interview was great. We talked about their beer, his favorite beers, and the beer [...]

If you download the PDF, it’s free. You heard me… free! If you buy a book, it will depend on the number of pages, the number of images, etc. The more pages you have the more expensive the book becomes. I don’t know, this just seems cool. I immediately think of things that I can collect… like the 50 states or all the countries I have visited. Or maybe musicians that I like or famous athletes. (Like Tiger Woods, for example.) I Just had no idea this was even an option [...]

Brad Titus sent me a Tweet a couple weeks ago… he wanted me to interview a band he was friends with. I hadn’t heard of the band, but I couldn’t wait to interview them. Brad introduced me to the guys on Twitter, and before long we had an interview scheduled. That’s when I went to listen to the tunes… and was immediately impressed with their tunes. I am a HUGE fan of bands like Matt & Kim, yet that genre is so hard to fit into. There is a certain [...]

You know, I don’t remember how I was first introduced to these guys. Who cares, their music is great. I did a little bit of research before I met with them, and when I got the chance to hear their stories unfold… the interview turned from questions about them to stories about their careers as musicians. The guys all met me at Golf 365, located on Indy’s north side. They have a sweet conference room that was perfect for the interview. We met, talked, and shared [...]

Through all that, I am allowed one 500 calorie meal a day. Now we’re talking. But 500 calories might surprise you… not much food in 500 calories. You can figure out some nicer, larger meals that are under 500 calories. Or you can just use the menu that the online Slim⋅Fast interface gives you. Either way, one meal a day can be up to 500 calories. That will more than likely be replaced by more beer in my book! (I am also hooked on these Archer [...]

I have been to Vegas several times, never having been able to find the infamous pawn shop. It’s famous for it’s role in the hit TV show Pawn Stars, the story of the shop and those that run it. It’s a family owned and operated business, and needless to say the characters are a little bit over the top. From the grandpa to the dad, the son and his friend… they are a treat to watch. It was pretty high up there on my things to see in Vegas this this trip. There are just as many episodes [...]

When Electric Zoo opened up last year, on Saturday September 4 at 11:00 AM, the Randall’s Island Park lawn was lush, long, and seemingly healthy. But the dancing and frolicking of 25,000 pairs of feet coupled with the unusually dry summer took a toll, and by the end of the day, the grass had been trampled and a lot of dirt had been kicked up into the air. When the wind gusted – especially around the Sunday School Grove, but in other parts of the festival grounds [...]
