Made Event presents Dash Berlin

Dash Berlin is the creator of the “Dash Berlin Sound” – an ambitious and unprecedented new sound of trance that is futuristic and scintillating, moving and emotive. It caught the ear of none other than Armin van Buuren in 2007, who featured Dash Berlin’s debut track Till The Sky Falls Down on his legendary “Universal Religion” album. In 2009, Dash Berlin released his critically acclaimed debut album, “The New Daylight”, which features instant classics such as Till The Sky Falls Down, Man On The Run, Waiting and Never Cry Again.

Artist Interview: 1-on-1 with Dashius Clay

Artist Interview: 1-on-1 with Dashius Clay

Twitter is amazing. I have met so many people on there. People that don’t “get” Twitter need to create an account and try it out. I met Dashius Clay on Twitter, and was immediately impressed with his level of engagement and more importantly his music. He has a wide range of sounds from rap to electronic dance music. His work is great, and I love his videos. Oh, and his lyrics. Styles like this make me think about David Correy, a performer who has coined his genre as “urban rock”.

Artist Interview: 1-on-1 with Dot Dot Dot

A couple of months ago, I went down to Bloomington to see Fitz and The Tantrums with my buddy Braden. It was a free show at The Bluebird, and I was stoked to see them perform. When we got there, I saw a poster for Dot Dot Dot, a cover band that I have heard a lot of great things about. They were there later that week. I had never seen them, but knew they put on a good show. We got in, grabbed a drink, and found a place to stand. Sure enough Dot Dot Dot was opening up for Fitz and The Tantrums! I couldn’t believe it.

Artist Interview: 1-on-1 with JET W. LEE

A few weeks ago, these guys followed me on Twitter. I sent them a reply, and we started talking about music, the Windy City, and their awesome sound. I had no idea they were coming to Indy for a show… then I agreed to live blog Indy Meets Windy 2, a showcase of Indianapolis and Chicago bands here in the Circle City. It is actually a great concept, featuring two bands from Chicago. Once these bands play down here, the Indy bands head to Chicago for a show.

The brothers finally announced their comeback with a triumphant headline set at the Big Chill in 2009. Orbital were revitalized, rebooted, reunited – and it felt so good.
