After the overwhelming success of Indy Meets Windy, it’s time for Indy Meets Windy 2. This time there will be one acoustic opener and three bands from Indianapolis (Indy) and two bands from Chicago (Windy). And to make the occasion something that’s really special, each band will perform acoustic. Being that many of these bands [...]

Chicago is just pumping out one great band after another. I have no idea where these guys came from, but I am glad I found them. They are brand new and have a debut EP out now. They are also traveling all over the Midwest playing their tunes for people. They will be in Indianapolis at Birdy’s Bar & Grill for Indy Meets Windy 2, a great concept featuring both local Indianapolis bands and some up and coming Chicago acts.

Love Is Not Enough is a song from the heart about the challenges in a relationship that can arise outside of a core feeling of love for someone. Love is not enough to be with someone – a relationship needs to work day to day.” says Jono Grant of Above & Beyond. Adding some stadium-sized energy to the EP is the huge, groove-fueled Above & Beyond Club Mix in all its riff-driven glory. It has received huge responses on the trio’s recent North America tour, as well as at the Group Therapy Miami event.

I don’t even know where to begin… these guys are one of the hardest working bands in the Circle City. I have known Nick, the lead singer, for a few years now, and never thought to work with them until the last rickyleepotts.com presents six bands for six bucks. It just made sense. So I offered them a spot. They ended up playing last, and played for nearly 100 fans. That’s hard to do in this city, especially after midnight. But they promoted the show and they made me proud. That, and they are really nice people! Anyway, I liked them so much, I just had to learn more. I asked Nick if he would be able and willing to sit for an interview, and here we are. Another thing I like about these guys… they are rock. I am not talking about that pop crap you head on the radio. I am talking straight up rock and roll music. They are even doing work with Brad Real, a local rap artist. It is my pleasure to introduce you to The Holland Account. Welcome to Holland!
