This week is American Craft Beer Week. It is time for you to sit down that bottle of Bud Light and craft a craft beer from one of the thousands of craft breweries around the country. There are several of them right here in the Circle City, and while I don’t personally like them all, there are some great breweries around here. One of the best places in Indy to get a good selection of craft beer is the Beer Sellar. They have a great list of beers including 100 bottles and over 50 taps that rotate as fast as they can tap them. It is one of my favorite bars in the city.

Twitter is amazing. I have met so many people on there. People that don’t “get” Twitter need to create an account and try it out. I met Dashius Clay on Twitter, and was immediately impressed with his level of engagement and more importantly his music. He has a wide range of sounds from rap to electronic dance music. His work is great, and I love his videos. Oh, and his lyrics. Styles like this make me think about David Correy, a performer who has coined his genre as “urban rock”.

Gartner adds, “When Tiësto brought up the idea of collaboration I was thrilled and I think We Own The Night is destined to be a classic. We were already happy with the musical part, but something special happened when Luciana came into the project and put her vocal touch on it. The only way I can describe it is… magic. I can honestly say this song is my favorite of all the collaborations I’ve ever done.”

A couple of months ago, I went down to Bloomington to see Fitz and The Tantrums with my buddy Braden. It was a free show at The Bluebird, and I was stoked to see them perform. When we got there, I saw a poster for Dot Dot Dot, a cover band that I have heard a lot of great things about. They were there later that week. I had never seen them, but knew they put on a good show. We got in, grabbed a drink, and found a place to stand. Sure enough Dot Dot Dot was opening up for Fitz and The Tantrums! I couldn’t believe it.

You can expect a slew of new music releases, collaborations, videos, and tour dates in the near future.

Formed in the late 1980s, Orbital released a string of classic 1990s singles including Chime, Style, The Box and Satan. Paul and Phil put their partnership on hold in 2004, but a five-year absence only increased demand for their exhilarating music and legendary live shows. The brothers finally announced their comeback with a triumphant headline set at the Big Chill in 2009. Orbital were revitalized, rebooted, reunited – and it felt so good.
