For some reason, I get emails from Liquor.com. I get them on a daily basis, so either my email is trying to tell me something… Or I signed up for a mailing list some time ago. Regardless, the content is good, and is usually filled with recipes and other lifestyle content. Like a quiz that I got today titled What Kind of All-American Beer Are You? So I took the quiz and wanted to share the results with you here today.
1. What’s your favorite televised sport?
- Basketball
- Football
- Tennis
- Golf
Um… That is an easy one. Golf!
2. Pick the most memorable American slogan:
- Only you can prevent forest fires!
- Loose lips sink ships.
- We can to it!
- Where’s the beef?
Smokey Bear!!! That is really the only one I remember. I think the “Where’s the beef?” comes from Wendy’s, but I could be wrong.
3. Who was/is your favorite late night talk show host?
- Conan O’Brien
- Johnny Carson
- Dave Letterman
- Jay Leno
I don’t watch a lot of late night TV, but I would have to say Dave Letterman. He is the most memorable for me. I am too young to remember Johnny Carson.
4. Time to hit the ballpark: What’s your snack of choice?
- Cracker Jack
- Hot Dog
- Nachos
- Fried Oreos
It doesn’t get much more American than a hot dog… But I do like nachos. I remember the last baseball game I went to. It was during Spring Training and Tiger had just WD from a golf tournament. I had my plate of nachos in one hand and my phone in the other. I look up and see a baseball coming right at me. The guy beside me ended up catching the ball, but I wasn’t giving up my phone. That ball almost landed in a plate of nachos! #memories
5. The ultimate old-school American muscle car, in your opinion is?
- 1969 Dodge Charger
- 1964 Ford Thunderbolt
- 1967 Pontiac GTO
- 1969 SC/Rambler
I am not a car guy… But out of those, I would take the GTO. I drove a Pontiac in high school, and I miss that car. It was fast!
6. If you could only listen to one Bruce Springsteen tune for the rest of your life, which one would it be?
- “Badlands”
- “Streets of Philadelphia”
- “Born in the USA”
- “Dancing in the Dark”
Oh, that is tough… I LOVE “Streets of Philadelphia” but “Born in the USA” is a classic. I guess “Born in the USA” because I was born in the USA!
That was fun. As I was reading these I was trying to think about what beer it would be… I am thinking, based on my answers, it will be Budweiser. Here it goes… Result: You’re a Pabst Blue Ribbon.
Awesome!!! Out of all the cheap domestic beers out there, I would order a PBR before a Bud Light or a Miller Lite. Heck, I went to Chicago to drink 19 bottles of Old Style earlier this month. So PBR doesn’t upset me. I’ll drink to that.
I encourage you to take the quiz, too. What were your results?
I got Yuengling. I’m happy with that!
That is such a good beer! For as much of that as they make and they sell, I am sad to not see it west of the Mississippi. Cheers!
