Grammy Award-winning Italian producer and DJ Benny Benassi recently released his third full-length album Electroman. Embracing a myriad of styles including electro, house, pop, R&B and hip-hop, Benny cast T-Pain, Pitbull, Chris Brown, Kelis, Gary Go, apl.de.ap of The Black Eyed Peas, Ying Yang Twins and more as the players in his very own electronic space opera. Cinema, featuring U.K. singer Gary Go, is a pop electro gem, remixed into a killer dancefloor track by none other than Skrillex – listen to the track and watch the video below! Hit singles from the album also include Electroman featuring T-Pain, Beautiful People with Chris Brown, and Spaceship featuring Kelis, apl.de.ap and Jean-Baptiste.
Benny Benassi became a worldwide phenomenon in electronic music with his 2002 electro-soul single Satisfaction, which is still spun in nightclubs nearly a decade after its release. In 2007, Benny left his stamp on the Public Enemy classic Bring the Noise, which eventually won him a Grammy for Best Remixed Recording (Dance) a year later. Last year, he released a video for Benny Benassi vs. Iggy Pop Electro Sixteen – a mindblowingly kaleidoscopic experimental music video featuring more than 15,000 photographs from his set at Electric Zoo. Benny Benassi returns to Electric Zoo’s Main Stage on Friday, September 2!
I saw Benny perform last year at Electric Zoo, and was beyond impressed. His light show… insane. I am stoked that he is back for another year. (By the way, I LOVE this new single. I also really like the Skrillex remix of this tune.)
