This is pretty sweet… I have been asked to attend, review, and live blog the next Indy Meets Windy on Saturday, April 27, 2012 at Birdy’s Bar & Grill. If you have never been to Birdy’s, it is one of the best live music venues in the city of Indianapolis. They have a great stage, and bands love to play there. This is also where I host rickyleepotts.com presents six bands for six bucks.
The Indy Meets Windy concept is pretty cool. Several Indianapolis bands invite a couple of bands from Chicago down for a night of live music. It’s a great concept, and I love the play on words. The lineup for Indy Meets Windy 2 includes:
- Dave Grodzki (Indianapolis)
- The Connect (Indianapolis)
- Coed Pageant (Chicago)
- And Away They Go (Indianapolis)
- Jet W. Lee (Chicago)
- Salvador Dalai Llama Farm (Indianapolis)
This promises to be a great night of live entertainment. It will also give me a chance to see And Away They Go and Salvador Dalai Llama Farm live. Both these bands are on the next six for six. I am excited to be promoting this event, and am stoked they asked me to get involved. I will be doing interviews with most, if not all of the bands before the show. I will also be there typing away as I live blog right here on rickyleepotts.com during the show. That’s where you come in.
I have live blogged some golf tournaments before, but never a concert. What do you want to see on the live blog? I will also be tweeting pictures of each band during the show. But what else would you like to see? Perhaps a setlist? Since this is the first time I have done this, I welcome any and all suggestions.
