New Breweries in the Grand Canyon State

New Breweries in the Grand Canyon State

There are a lot of brewing companies in Arizona. We really like Four Peaks Brewing Company, Fate Brewing Co., Scottsdale Beer Company, SunUp Brewing, Dragoon Brewing Company… You get the idea. Heck, we go to The PERCH Pub & Brewery and Papago Brewing Co. a lot, too. Needless to say, there are a lot of options when it comes to drinking local craft beer. There are a bunch of brewing companies in Arizona, but there are more on the way!

To kick things off, Scottsdale just opened Goldwater Brewing Co. I haven’t heard much about them yet, but they are currently pouring a few of their own beers and a variety of local Arizona craft beers. The place looks cool, and I can’t wait to visit. Wren House Brewing Co. also opened up in Phoenix. This place is awesome, they have a bunch of their own beers on tap, and they have a passion for great beer. The photo accopanying this bog post is from Wren House. At first, I wasn’t sure of their hours on Sunday. I asked them on Facebook and in a matter of minutes they responded with their hours. I needed a photo for this blog post, so we decided to go. Needless to say, we were impressed!

One place that I am looking forward to is 8-Bit Brewery. They have awesome tap handles, have a cool video game theme, and the founder/brewer is a great guy. This is another one we haven’t had the chance to see, and planned on going today… But they are closed on Sunday. I can’t wait to try their beer. They are located in Avondale, which is about 35 from our house, so we won’t go there often. But hey, we didn’t think we would visit Dubina Brewing Co. that often, and we are practically regulars there now.

I’m headed to Tucson next month, and plan to see 1912 Brewing Co. I also like Dragoon, but will be in Marana, and Dragoon is quite the drive from there. Catalina Brewing Company is also new in Tucson, and I haven’t heard anything about them at all. Heck, I haven’t been to Sentinel Peak Brewing company yet, either. I told Mike and Nic that I wasn’t going to be in Marana and not see Sentinel Peak.

Up in Flagstaff Dark Sky Brewing is opening up. They are doing more than beer, offering beer, food, live music and art from local artists. I like that. They do that at Mother Bunch Brewing, too, located in downtown Phoenix.

As you can see, there are a lot of new brewing companies out there and I can’t wait to see them all. Regardless of where you live, I encourage you to get out there and drink local. When visiting Arizona, make sure to visit some of these brewing companies. Cheers!

Remember kids, please drink responsibly.
