Beer Braised Barbacoa, Pork Belly, Bacon, Buffalo, Baja Shrimp & Chorizo y Frites Tacos Top Highlights at Rockin’ Taco Street Fest, Saturday, September 17th

Can you hear that sound? It’s the collective roar of hungry tummies gearing up for the fifth annual Rockin’ Taco Street Fest coming to Downtown Chandler on Saturday, September 17, 2016 from noon – 9 p.m. A food, music and cultural celebration, Rockin’ Taco Street Fest will pay tribute to the might taco with traditional street styles as well as many highly innovative flavors and unconventional ingredients.

Here are the menu highlights:

El Palacio Restaurant & Cantina of Chandler is serving carnitas, carne asada, lengua and chicken street tacos with all the fixings, plus be sure to grab a warm and delicious churro! Next up, Frites Street will serve a chorizo and frites taco made with their famous frites potatoes.

Honey Bear’s BBQ is serving up pork, beef and chicken BBQ street tacos while International Truck Of Tacos is kicking up the creativity with blackened shrimp, short rib, jerk chicken, and roasted veggie tacos. Jamburritos Cajun Grill will deliver a bit of the south with a spicy pineapple pork and fried catfish Cajun taco.

Modern Margarita, a brand new restaurant in Downtown Chandler will serve slow roasted Yucatan-style pork tacos with pineapple, avocado crema and cabbage. Nando’s Mexican Cafe menu includes a breakfast taco as well as barbacoa and chicken red chili tacos. Rock A Belly will feature ribeye, chicken and falafel tacos.

SanTan Brewing Company is set to serve pork belly, cochinita pork, short rib, baja shrimp and pescado al pastor tacos. The Traveling Monk plans to please the masses with bacon, buffalo, beer braised barbacoa, carne asada tacos and more. To finish off a delicious taco experience, swing by The Perch Pub and Brewery booth and pick up an ice cream taco.

Garcia’s Mexican Restaurant, Casa Rey’s, and BKL Live will deliver a variety of traditional street tacos plus a couple of creative surprises.

To accompany all of those delicious tacos, patrons will enjoy local craft beer, fresh fruit fresca, Mexican cerveza, tequila tastings, margaritas and more. Plus, save room for elote, Mexican candies, kettle corn and more!

Doors open at noon, general admission to the Rockin’ Taco Street Fest is $8 online during presale and $10 day of. Children 12 years old and under will be admitted for free with a paid adult. A limited number of VIP admission tickets are available online ONLY, while supplies last. VIP admission is $65 and includes six alcoholic beverages, unlimited soft drinks and water, catered food from El Palacio Restaurant & Cantina of Chandler, private restrooms, front stage access/view, private seating.
