Maui Happy Hour Hot Spots

Save BIG: Maui Happy Hour Hot Spots

While we were in Maui (or is it on Maui?) we tried to find the best deals on food and drinks in the island. We stayed right across from Maui Brewing Co., and they not only offered some amazing beers, but a really good happy hour. A lot of bars on the island have a happy hour, but things are so expensive here, finding a deal isn’t easy. We did find a couple of other good happy hours, including Moose McGillycuddy’s. They have a daily happy hour from 3-5 PM and offer some signature cocktails, deep discounts on beer and more. Oh, and the happy hour at Merriman’s Kapalua was good.

Below is a list of other popular happy hours on the island. Cheers!

Merriman’s Kapalua
You have two bars to choose from at Merriman’s Kapalua. You can sit at the upstairs open air bar overlooking Kapalua Bay (there is some good snorkeling here, too) or at Point Lounge offering similar views as well as a fire pit. Discounts include $5 well drinks, $3 draft beer and $6 made from scratch Mai Tais. They also have discounts on wine, but we don’t drink much wine. Oh, and they have discounts on select appetizers including ahi tuna and smoked taro hummus.

Buzz’s Wharf
We passed this place several times, and stopped because of their happy hour specials. The have $3 domestic bottled beers, $4 well drinks, and $5 margaritas. They also offer discounts on wine, but like I said, we don’t typically order wine. The views at Buzz’s Wharf are good, though. You can see Molokini Crater from there.

Son’z Maui at Swan Court
They offer happy hour every day, but only from 5-7 PM. What makes this place special is their choice of rum. Their food specials are really good, too. They use, in their Mai Tais, Trader Vic’s rum. For food they have calamari, spring rolls, and filet mignonette sliders. They even offer up live music on Wednesday and Thursday nights.

Outback Steakhouse
We didn’t eat at Outback, but they do have a really good happy hour. At Outback you can enjoy 1/2 price appetizers, drink specials and even $2.50 draft beers. Like I said, we didn’t eat here, but now I want steak for dinner!

Botero Bar at Grand Wailea
Did you know they filmed a movie at this resort? This place is huge, and we had dinner here (not at Botero but at Humuhumunukunukuapua’a) on New Year’s Eve. Since I was working on this blog post, and we were over here, I figured we would stop by for a drink. They have the shortest happy hour, only from 5-6 PM daily, but offer 50% off on the rocks well drinks and a wide range of local beers. They also have complimentary valet parking for guests.

As you can see, there are a lot of great placed offering discounts on the island. Since we were so close, we enjoyed the happy hour at Maui Brewing Co. the most. Other places on the island offering a happy hour include:

The next time you are in Hawaii, since everything is overpriced, be on the lookout for a good happy hour near you. Cheers!
