In 2018, while working in SW Florida as the Director of Marketing and Communications at Tiburón Golf Club at The Ritz-Carlton Resort, Naples, Mr. Kevin DeDonato nominated me for the Troon LEADer program. I didn’t get in, but was honored to receive his nomination. My colleague Chad Nigro got in, and had nothing but good things to say about the program.
In 2019 I accepted the Membership Director position at The Fountaingrove Club, a Troon Privé-managed facility in Santa Rosa, California. A few months ago Mr. Ronald Banaszak, CCM, CCE nominated me for the 2020 Troon LEADer program. I was humbled to have his nomination and spent nearly 4 hours (with the help of my lovely wife) on my application.
Earlier today I was in San Francisco for a CMAA mentor session with Mr. Glenn Smickley, general manager, California Golf Club. When I got back to the office I had a letter in the mail from Ms. Michael Fitch, project manager, learning & development. It read, “On behalf of the executive committee and the Learning & Development team, I am pleased to announce that you have been selected as a participant in the 2020 Troon LEADer program!”
This is an exciting time for me as I prepare for my first CMAA BMI later this month and was recently asked to sit on the CMAA National Membership Committee. I couldn’t be happier to be joining the other Troon associates nominated and I can’t wait to get started the first week of April. Thank you all for your support and I look forward to sharing my progress with you over the next 12 months.
