As one of Mexico’s most sought after selectors, Bzars returns to the forefront alongside fellow Mexican and newcomer to the scene Graze with their track “Tall White” – out now on Amplify!

Introducing a more progressive leaning style in to his productions, Bzars returns in truly epic fashion with the release of his long-awaited single release “Tall White” with fresh, new and exciting EDM production talent in Graze. The pair effortlessly blend their individual experiences and influences into a coherent body of work, which wouldn’t sound out of place on any dancefloor across the world. Bzars, who is mostly known for his bouncy tech house productions, pushes the boat out on this release as he incorporates synthy and progressive drum patterns throughout, giving the song depth and a contrast which outlines the masterful production skills that manufactured it!

Bzars first burst on to the scene in 2020 when he teamed up with another top Mexican producer in Mr. Pig on the classic hit “Blue Dreams”, which has gone on to rack up nearly 44 million streams on Spotify alone. Fast forward four years and Bzars is still producing and DJing, as he impresses with every release, “Quema” was the starting point in 2024 for Bzars, a lighthearted and groovy tech house cut alongside Mexican selector Maboy. With plenty of releases lined up, it will be interesting to see just how far Bzars can take his signature tech house sound!

With his ears to the Mexican streets, Bzars can expertly enlist the help of some of the most talented producers in the region – this time, he taps up Graze, a fellow Monterrey native, to add some extra flavour to proceedings. From a very young age, Graze developed a taste for a wide variety of music and hence an interest in musical production. He began his career in 2017, where he started to play at different events around the city related to electronic dance music. This led to the Mexican selector releasing on Holy Pig, Terms & Conditions, Phisica, and on his own label Futura Musik!

Prior to the release of this single, his identity eluded me. However, delving into his repertoire revealed a notable background. While his collaboration with Graze on this track stands out, his involvement with numerous prominent artists became evident. Intrigued to explore further about him, his contribution to this single, and his upcoming endeavors for the summer, I reached out for an interview.

I thoroughly enjoyed spending time with him; it was truly delightful. Let’s turn on “Tall White” and savor this conversation. Without further ado, allow me to introduce you to Bzars.

Welcome! I’d love to learn more about the journey behind your hit track “Blue Dreams,” which has achieved over 45 million streams on Spotify. Can you provide some details about the inspiration behind the song and what it was like collaborating with Mr. Pig and Sapir Amar?
Well when I was on the pandemic era of the world, I was in a really sad stage so making music was a way to escape all the bad things happening around, it was a challenge to put so many talented people to coordinate and deliver a quality result, I think at the end all of that sums a wonderful experience in my journey as record producer man.

What do you hope listeners take away from your music, particularly from tracks like “Blue Dreams”?
My vibe, my message that even though things might get blue and dark, we can still dream for a better future for ourselves.

Can you share the inspiration behind your latest single “Quema” and discuss how your artistic journey evolves from one track to the next?
“Quema” was a decision to try to make something comercial at the same time a house banger, I think we found the perfect balance, especially because we focus for girls to dance with this track.

I think my journey evolves every time I release a new track and I build rapport around that in live gigs, streams, and impressions of people, I try to find a balance of what I enjoy and how to translate that into a language that everybody can enjoy.

Who handled the design of the album art for “Quema”, and what was the experience like collaborating with Maboy during the production of the release?
Between my sister-in-law Alana, which is a great graphic designer, and ChatGPT for initial ideas.

Maboy is a great artist, he also has this tik tok fan base in the food industry called “Monks if Munch” with millions watching his content among his partner German Fajardo, working with him was great because I always try to work with people that can educate me with something in this case he shown me how to execute customer service in a successful way.

I don’t speak Spanish, but I don’t think that matters on the dance floor. Do you ever release songs in English, or am I stuck dancing without knowing what you’re saying?
Yes, indeed. “Blue dreams” is in English. I’m releasing a track on March 28, named “Tall White” which is also in English, you can enter my Spotify catalogue that English is my second native language.

What are some of your favorite nightclubs around the world, and could you share insights into what makes them stand out for you? Additionally, where are some of your favorite venues to perform, and what elements do you appreciate most about those locations?
Hï Ibiza – the production of lights, visuals, sound, the artist they booked are amazing, no wonder why they are the best club in the world.

BABOUCHKA CLUB – the afro house and vibe of the place is amazing and great to vibrate higher.

Hakkasan – MGM Grand Las Vegas – the complex is enormous, I love the name, the booking is legendary, and the best of all inside of the MGM Grand, this makes a great combination.

In Madrid, the GABANA Music Club was a great nightclub I played because of the combination of the Latin and European world, also I love that party starts at 2:00 AM in Madrid.

Salón Solín was a great place to play because I feel free to be 100% myself in there sometimes, I think I need to adapt my music depending on the venue I’m going.

H Roof always playing at a club on the beach will guarantee a great experience.

Speaking of seeing you perform, what can fans expect from experiencing your live shows? Also, how do you prepare to perform, from both a technical and artistic standpoint?
They can expect euphoria, and lots of cardio and energy, good vibes, and lots of love.

I like to smoke a cigarette and a cold Coca-Cola can before entering stage, also shouting as hard as I can helps me to release all fear and stress.

I always prepare my music with one week of anticipation and try to coordinate my team to have have all technical details resolved.

Your lyrics often carry deep meanings. Could you share some insights into your songwriting process and the themes you explore in your music?
To be honest I like to ask for help when it is time to write a lyric, also I like to read complicated vocabulary novels to extend that vocab and implemented on the writing exercise, I always write with some else never alone, I’m on my journey to polish that skin, meanwhile I’m not ashamed to ask for help to get even better.

Do you feel anxious when you’re on stage, especially with a big crowd watching?
Always, and if you are an artist and you don’t feel that anxiety what the hell are you doing?

Which headphones do you have around your neck? Are they the ones you typically use on stage and in the studio, or do you change them?
I like to change them, I prefer headphones that I can throw, make rough use, and have durability sometimes I go a bit crazy on the decks.

What do you hope listeners take away from your music, particularly from tracks like “Blue Dreams”, “Quema”, and “Tall White”?
My vibe, if you are having a bad day, I guarantee my music will set you on a different mood perspective to cease the rest of the day.

You have worked with a lot of record labels. Are you approaching them, or do they come to you based on the music you’re releasing? And how does working with Warner Music in Poland compare to working with Movic Records in Mexico?
Both, sometimes they approach, most of the time I have approached, the thing is not to stay with the will of doing something.

Working with different labels around the world gave me empathy to understand that everybody has their working process and if you learn to respect that the flow of energy while working becomes even better.

You’ve collaborated with a lot of big names. Can you tell us about any upcoming projects or collaborations you’re excited about?
Yes, I’m excited because this year I’m releasing 2 big tracks.

The first one called “Monalisa” a track made with Jowell from Jowell & Randy, Luciana Caporaso, and Marcos Jungle, working with one of the biggest Latin reggaeton artist such as Jowell and with a pop queen that is Luciana, I guarantee this track it’s a banger.

The second one is called “Canibal” with Luciana also, that by the way she was on the top 10 tracks among Hardwell with their track “Acid”, Kenn Colt is also on the track so the combination of these 2 artists makes this track a great tech house track.

Besides that, I’m going to release a track every month, mostly of house and techno branch tracks.

Beyond music, do you have any other creative outlets or passions that inspire your work?
Yes, the movies, video games, theatre plays, restaurants, fashion, panting, modeling clay, any type of art I love it, I can translate any form of art into music.

We’ve talked about a lot today. What have we missed? What else can you tell me about you, your music, and what the New Year holds for Bzars.
Lots of music, DJ sets, and gigs, I’m everything will culminate on a big climax eventually.

Thanks for doing this, man. That was fun. In all the interviews I do, I always give the artist the last word. Go.
