I read an article the other day about Steve Madden, founder and former CEO of the eponymous footwear label, and his new New York City apartment. This place is nearly 5,000 square feet and has five bedrooms and six and a half bathrooms. It is located at 252 East 57th Street and without looking it up, I would have no idea where this is. Apparently it is a popular place to live; this area is known as Manhattan’s Billionaire’s Row and is situated between Second and Third Avenues.
This unit is part of a recently completed project by SOM and developed by World Wide Group and Rose Associates. For that price you would expect some legit amenities. Past the view, throw in an automated parking garage (I would like to see that…), a swimming pool and a spa.
The article was in The Wall Street Journal and it inspired me to write this post. In an effort to blog more, maybe I will start doing that… Reading and writing more about things that interest me.
