Having blazed their 2020 release trail with a rework of Armin van Buuren’s “Something Real,” Nic and Bossi’s new production “Your Mind” reaches stores and streaming platforms today.
“Your Mind’s” title tips a knowing wink at Wake Your Mind Records, its mix-comp companion and Cosmic Gate’s long-standing musical mantra. Oh, and for good measure, it also wraps the cheekiest of (clue’s-in-the-title) vocal samples into its speaker smacking calculus!
“Central to Cosmic Gate’s latest (says DJ Mag in their April issue 8/10 review) is a highly recognizable sample. So spectacularly looped, chopped and FX-corrupted is it however that it’ll be some time before the ‘which-one’ penny drops. As soon as it does, the track diverts into techno-trance, rallies some moody harmonies to its cause before pirouetting again into something tougher and more snare driven. One of those tracks that – eight minutes in, you’ll stop wondering how you got here and just be glad you did!”
