PUT YOUR HANDS UP

It has been 13 years since we last spoke… Good to see you again. A lot has changed, but you keep releasing bangers. Tell me more about your new single “Let The Groove Be” out now via Darklight Recordings.
For me this was going back to my roots to make something like I did when I just started like “get this feeling”.

It seems like every DJ has a podcast. I listen to several… Will be adding yours to my list now. Tell me more about Fedde Le Grand – Darklight Sessions and how often you’re releasing new episodes.
It’s a weekly show and it started actually by doing a show for a German radio station that later became DLS musicly its always been more or less the same format.

Digging the “Let The Groove Be” album artwork. Is that the Darklight Recordings logo? And what is the photo? Looks cool!
Yes, it is the logo, glad you like it.

What is your process for producing a new song? Do you sit down with a yellow pad or do the sounds just come to you?
It always starts with a little spark from another song from an amazing sound library from a vocal from a sample could be anything from anywhere.

I use Bose headphones. I’m always curious what headphones DJs are using. Or eating!!! What headphones are around your neck?
Technics for a loooong time now, light, not to big and great sound.

“Let The Groove Be” is your last release of 2022. 2023 will be here before you know it… Any big plans for the New Year? Perhaps a tour that will bring you to Southern California.
No, unfortunately, it won’t be California. I’ll be in Dubai for NYE and I’m sure it will be amazing, but I’m pretty sure my year will start in the USA after that soon I’ll be in California.

Thank you for doing this, man. In all of the interviews I do, I always give the artist the last word. Go.
Thank you for the interview, it’s such a pleasure. I hope everyone likes “Let The Groove Be”.
