Dance music continues to inspire and motivate me just as much today as it did when I first started listening, and 2025 was no exception. I’m still obsessed with Spotify, and my Spotify Wrapped continues to tell the story of my year musically.
This year, I found myself leaning into a lot more melodic, non-vocal, and softer sounds as my journey with mindfulness and mental health continues. I recently had a brain map done, but that’s a topic for another blog post.
There are a lot of new entries on this list, along with a few artists who will be here year after year because they keep evolving and producing incredible music. Some have stopped producing a podcast, some have shifted platforms, and others have changed their sound entirely, but the music continues to amaze me.
We also got to experience some unforgettable shows this year. From seeing Carl Cox in a basement in Vienna, Austria, to being up front with my buddy Jeff seeing this year’s top spot live waterside, then making our way to the front again at the afterparty. I’ll never forget that night. When we left the afterparty, Jeff wanted the after-afterparty. I went to bed while he went out. What a night.
