“Love For You” is a musical testament to the profound connection and irresistible attraction between two souls. This energetic dance club track is a sonic masterpiece, expertly crafted by Martin Trevy, to deliver a powerful blend of melodic elements that will send listeners into a euphoric trance, all while building an incredible sense of tension. With a hard-hitting, club-ready drop bound to get bodies moving, “Love For You” is poised to become the anthem of the dance music scene.

A dual citizen with Italian heritage and Colombian roots, Martin Trevy, is a merge of his many influences in life as he continuously pushes boundaries, earning recognition and admiration for his ability as an electronic artist. “Love For You” is no exception, showcasing his versatility and consummate skill set. A growing figure in the electronic scene, Martin Trevy has taken his music to a broader global audience in recent years, with support from A-list names such as acts Tiësto, Sam Feldt, Lost Frequencies, Nicky Romero, and Alok. Martin has also shared the stage with many of the scene’s biggest names, including Afrojack, Bad Bunny, DJ Snake, KSHMR, and Don Diablo, with whom he shared the bill in Canada last month.

With a passion for creating unforgettable experiences on the dance floor, Martin Trevy has earned a dedicated global fan base and a reputation for his innovative sound, leading to future bookings at events such as Tomorrowland Presents Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike at Ushuaïa Ibiza, as well as appearances at Ultra Music Festival in Latin America, where by the end of year he will have played in five individual Ultra Music Festival stops in Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, and Guatemala.

Talking about the inspiration behind the single, Martin Trevy said, “I wanted to create a song that makes people dance and touches their hearts. The track represents the universal theme of love, and I aimed to convey the intensity and passion that two people can share through music. It celebrates the connection that brings us together on the dance floor.”

Martin Trevy is a multi-talented producer, singer, song writer, performer, and DJ.

I didn’t know much about Martin, but this song is a straight banger. He is making a name for himself, and is sharing the stage with some of the biggest names in dance music. Sheryl and I saw Swedish House Mafia at Ushuaïa Ibiza, so I can imagine the vibe when Martin took the stage. (By the way, when you visit Ushuaïa, start poolside. Then head upstairs for a long drink and some of the best views of the stage.)

When “Love For You” came out, I did some digging on Martin and was eager to pick his brain. I reached out and he was quick to sit down for an exclusive interview tied to this release. Follow Martin on Instagram. Martin is living his best life. Look at his Instagram posts… Dude is crushing it! I am blessed I got a chance to interview him, and I can’t wait to see him live soon. Play his latest single, crank up the volume, and get ready for a tale I can’t wait to share with you. It is my pleasure to introduce you to Martin Trevy.

Tell me about your new single “Love For You” out now on Show Me The Honey.
Sure!  “Love For You ” represents the union and deep attraction between two souls. The track is packed with melodic elements that give a sense of euphoria and tension accompanied by a hard-hitting club ready drop! When I created the song I had a show coming up at New City Gas, a nightclub in Canada. That motivated me to create a demo to test live. The reaction was great so as soon as I got back, I finished the record.

The song is great, man. Who is that on vocals?
It’s me! I write and record my own vocals.

Whoa. That’s awesome, man! Well done. You are originally from Colombia. Where are you living now, and do you get back to the “gateway to South America” much?
I still live in Colombia in a city named Cali! I really enjoy being here since most of my friends and family live in Colombia. My home is very quiet compared to the craziness of my shows. (Laughs.) I like the contrast.

What is your songwriting process like for a track like this? Do you start with the words, or do you write the lyrics around the beat?
It usually starts with the melody. I always have my phone around with me to record ideas. When I see the idea has potential, I go to the studio and try to make a song out of it.

Remember Ultra Colombia? You played for more than 25,000 people. How long do you prepare for a set like that, and how do you know what songs to plan and in what order?
I prepared for this set weeks in advance since it was a huge opportunity to show what I do. Since I also sing live, I do have to plan songs that go well together. During the show I read the crowd and have planned different batch of songs depending how the crowd reacts.

Who designed the cover art for “Love For You” and what is the story behind that design?
The goal was to create a cover that connected with my artist brand and the song.  “Love For You” is an energetic club record that has deep elements in the production. If you see closely, it’s a picture taken of me. I connect quite a lot with gothic art since my grandfather is from Italy.

You have a Public Playlist on Spotify. Do you find yourself listening to Martin Trevy Radio?
Since I am most of the time at the studio making electronic music, I try to listen to other genres outside the box. Sometimes it can be classical music or even pop. That playlist I don’t hear it much. (Laughs.)

What headphones are around your neck?
I used to wear cans, but I now use Shure SE826 in-ear headphones!

It seems like every DJ has a podcast. Any plans to produce a weekly show? I’d subscribe!
Not in my plans for now but you can subscribe to my YouTube and and follow me on Spotify! (Laughs.)

You are crushing it on Instagram. Living your BEST life! Not really a question. Just keep it up!
Thanks!!

I just got back from Ibiza. Where is your favorite place to play on the White Island?
Ohhh Ushuaïa is the temple of Ibiza for me. I was also there some weeks ago playing and the energy was insane!

Your hair looks the same in every photo… Always perfect. What product are you using to create that masterpiece?!
(Laughs.) I get this question asked more than you would imagine! I use Reuzel hair wax!

I’ve not seen you live… Yet. What can fans expect from a live performance? And do you get nervous on stage?
Yes moments before the show I get nervous! Once I am on stage, I don’t get nervous anymore though. You can expect a show, an immersive experience! I sing, DJ and do special visual effects on stage. It’s something unique that I am sure you will love.

What are you listening to when not working on your new banger? Who inspires you?
I like orchestral and cinematic music! It clears me out from the electronic world and gives me new melody ideas. I am very inspired by Tiësto, Swedish House Mafia and David Guetta. I admire the way they have shaped the music industry.

Any plans for a tour this fall/winter? Christmas will be here before you know it!
We actually have a series of shows coming up in Latin America in October and November! I will be on Road to Ultra Chile, Guatemala, and Costa Rica. We will also be in Venezuela and Argentina before the year ends.

You are a producer, singer, songwriter, performer, and DJ. Would you ever consider collaborating with someone like me? How cool would it be to turn this conversation into an excuse to produce your next banger. LMK if that is something you’d like to explore. Could be fun!
(Laughs.) Of courseee!!! I am always open to collaborate with others. Send me ideas you have, and we can take it from there.

You’ve released a lot of music over the years. How has your sound changed over time and when can we expect your next release? Perhaps an EP or a full-length album.
For sure! I will be releasing 2 club EPs soon. Working on many original records, too. My sound does transform over time. I try to let my creativity and intuition guide me to take the next steps.
