So I know one person that will appreciate this. Josh, I would love to hear your feedback on this image. Is this real? Or is this the work of a graphic designer, his addiction to Photoshop, and too much time? I mean, go look at an image of the country if you do not see the absolute immediate resemblance. This is a spitting image of the country. This is damn near perfect to be exact.
What shocks me is that one, a puddle would form in the exact same of a country. And two, that someone would just be driving down this dirt road and have a high end camera at their side to take a snap shot of this wet mess. I think this is fake. But I want to hear what you think.
I would actually love to see if you can find any more images that claim to be real but you suspect to be fake. I have seen hundreds before and have actually had class room projects that required us to find and produce an image that was indeed fake but seemed to be real. Photoshop is a pretty powerful software program. Was it powerful enough to create this?
I know exactly what you are talking about and I definitely appreciate the post. No doubt about that, but here’s my two cents on this:
First off, when I clicked the image to enlarge it, I was directed to Outback Steakhouse’s website, although delicious and outweighing the pizza I have in the oven, I would have much rather seen a close up of this.
Anyways, I do think this is real. I have seen many designs that are like this and they go all out. Why would someone skilled in Photoshop say, “Hey, I think I want to put a puddle right there, but I don’t want this to be any puddle. I want it to look like Australia!”?
Yeah, nobody. If I were to make a puddle and create a visual pleasing and astonishing piece, I would go all out and make a puddle into the Mona Lisa or something extravagant.
And that, my friend, is why I believe this to be real. Or someone is just somewhat lame for picking this project.
