Experience TITANIC: THE ARTIFACT EXHIBITFor one day only, visitors to the Indiana State Museum will have the unique opportunity to view the highly anticipated Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition at a special discounted rate. In honor of Indianapolis’ 12 Free Days of Christmas, the museum will provide free museum admission to the public on December 20th, allowing visitors to see the exhibit for the discounted price of only $10.

Showcasing more than 240 artifacts recovered from the ship’s debris field, the exhibition and free holiday-themed events at the museum make the visit to the Indiana State Museum on December 20th well worth the trip.

“The holidays are the best time to experience the incredible story of Titanic,” said Cheryl Mure, vice president of RMS Titanic, Inc. “Generations young and old are always enthralled with both the beauty and tragedy of the ill-fated ocean liner that is the story of Titanic. With more than 22 million visitors to date, it is clear how Titanic resonates with its visitors.” Tickets to the exhibition can be purchased in advance online or by calling 317-232-1637. On December 20th, adults are $10, seniors (65+) are $9.50 and children (12 and under) are only $7. Exhibition hours are 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Please plan to arrive early to purchase your tickets. Timed tickets are limited and are available on a first come, first served basis.

In addition to Titanic, The Indiana State Museum also offers several opportunities for guests to celebrate the holiday season. Visit Santa and Mrs. Claus at Celebration Crossing across from the Exhibition and ride the popular Santa Claus Express.

Indiana State Museum

The Indiana State Museum is located in White River State Park in the heart of downtown Indianapolis. Part of the Indiana Department of Natural Resources, it is Indiana’s museum for science and culture, offering a place where you can celebrate, investigate, remember, learn and take pride in Indiana’s story in the context of the broader world. Even the building is a showcase of the best Indiana has to offer in architecture, materials and sculpture.

Premier Exhibitions, Inc. is a major provider of museum-quality touring exhibitions throughout the world.

This is an official press release from the Indiana State Museum regarding this exhibition. I will be attending this exhibition in the near future to provide you with an in-depth look at this incredible collection of artifacts. Please stay tuned for more details. I will also be interviewing the Vice President of Education for Premier Exhibitions.
